Our History

Sage was founded in 2007 by its Principals, John Stemlar and Jeff Mueller, both of whom are attorneys*.  The company is the residential brokerage spin-off of JS Real Estate Advisors, a commercial real estate consulting business started by Stemlar in 2003.  Our True Agency service model evolved in response to consumer demand for highly-skilled, advisory and representation-based residential brokerage services.


Our People

Our Principals and Associates come to Sage with professional backgrounds in real estate, law, business and/or consulting.  Many have advanced degrees. Our low Associate-to-Broker ratio enables our Broker-Principals to oversee every client engagement.


Our Approach to Service

We believe that when you hire a real estate company to help you buy or sell a home, the company (not just your agent) should work for you and your interests.  Unlike other real estate brokerages, our Associates do not compete among each other for clients and are never on opposing sides of a transaction.  With Sage, you benefit from the collective skill and experience, and have the uncompromised loyalty, of the entire company.
